* GOP Sloganator Highlights

You can expect lots of political parody and satire in an election year.

From Boing Boing:

“The sloganator was a GOP-provided webtool that would generate custom Bush-Cheney posters. Pranksters used it to generate their own ironic slogans, until it was shut down. This Flash blob is a montage of some of the funniest. 1.7MB Flash link (Thanks, Jason!)”

“Parody” is a literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule. “Satire” is a literary work (such as The Onion) in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit. (Definitions from Dictionary.com.)

So this is a parody. And you can always count on lots of these in an election year. Plus April Fools’ Day is this week, so be prepared for more.
