I’ll pay you $100 to answer this question.
I like WordPress, both because it’s free and because it’s a good product. What I would also like (and would be willing to pay for) is support. Here’s my problem. Be the fist to solve it, and I’ll pay you $100. I’ve researched the problem but frankly don’t have the time to research it further.
The Problem
WordPress is accepting pingbacks/trackbacks from my own weblog but not from other weblogs.
The Details
Operating System: FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE-p28 on a Verio VPS.
PHP Version: PHP 4.3.10. The /usr/local/lib/php.ini
file includes the default setting with the exception of memory_limit = 32M
(maximum amount of memory a script may consume, increased from the default 8 MB).
MySQL Version: 3.23.58.
WordPress Version: WordPress 2.0.4. In Options -> Discussion -> Discussion Options, the setting “Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)” is checked (on).
WordPress Plugins: Akismet 1.15, Category Order 1.9.6, Google Analytics 0.66, Feedburner Feed Replacement 2.2, Dofollow 2.0, Unfancy Quote 2.0, Sidebar Widgets 1.0.20060711.
Have at it.
