One of the best Web sites I’ve seen that’s maintained by a single attorney.

The Environmental Law Information Center (http://www.webcom.com/staber/) is maintained by Steven M. Taber, a partner in the firm of Ross & Hardies (http://www.rosshardies.com/). Oddly, the Ross & Hardies Web site does not link back to The Environmental Law Information Center. Which is too bad, because the latter site is one of the best I’ve seen that’s maintained by a single attorney. I don’t generally review sites that lack a top-level domain name, but in exceptional cases like this, I’ll make exceptions.
For example, The US Environmental Law at a Glance Section provides an overview of the statutes and regulations on which most environmental law is based. And the overview is extremely detailed. I’m talking Emmanuel-like outlines of the major statutes, including the Clean Air Act.
The site also contains the full text of recent environmental case law, pending and enacted legislation, and new and proposed rules and regulations. In short, it looks like Steven Taber has taken his environmental law library and put in on the Web. With commentary, the site could be an online environmental law textbook. In fact, with the online forum on environmental law, there is an element of commentary to the site.
Overall, this is an excellent site, one that could clearly be leveraged even more by the law firm whose name graces its pages.
