Virgin Radio in the UK rocks. In more than one way.
I have been listening to the UK’s Virgin Radio (http://www.virginradio.co.uk/) ever since their radio station first appeared on iTunes. I can now confirm, unequivocally, that Virgin Radio rocks!
Over the last month, I kept hearing a really cool song on Virgin Radio, but I never bothered to look up the song title. Then I realized that I hadn’t heard it recently and I tried to search for in on Google with selected lyrics. But I couldn’t remember enough of the lyrics to find the song.
So yesterday, I emailed this lame description to Virgin Radio using their contact form.
“Greetings,
I listen to Virgin UK at work in the States. I am trying to find the name of a song that played in the last month or so. It was by a male artist, with a pronounced UK accent when he sings, singing a storytelling song about his dad. I can’t for the life of me remember it but would love to buy the album. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Erik
A Fan In The States”
I wasn’t expecting much.
Today – one day later and five time zones away – I got a succinct reply from Tanya at Virgin Radio:
“The artist is called Nizlopi.”
Yes, that’s it! The song I was thinking of is is JCB by Nizlopi.
Thank you very much Virgin Radio. I am truly impressed that you were able to come up with this based on my description. Tanya, ask your boss for a raise! Or at least the day off.
