Now with correct spelling!
Well, that was even more flawed than I thought. Ironically, it turns out that I had misspelled “Hillary” as “Hilary” in my first search. But Google Trends does not give suggestions for misspelled words, like the main Google search engine does. Odd. I obviously rely on that too much.
Turns out both of the democratic front-runners have names that are commonly misspelled. Here is an updated chart, with both names spelled correctly and incorrectly. I also updated the words (but not the graphic) in my original post.
