If you have registered a domain name but are not currently using it, consider licensing the domain name. Licensors can generate revenue from the domain name and retain ownership, which can be helpful if the licensee goes out of business. Licensees can acquire the right to use the domain name for less than it would cost to purchase the domain name. You can even use a third party, such as a law firm, to hold the domain name in escrow during the term of the license.
