Subject: Re: Red Sox tickets - SUMMARY
Greetings,
Thanks to all who provides suggestion on- and off-list. A quick summary
follows.
1) Options for minor/independent league tickets include:
Cape Cod League
Cape Code, MA
Amateur (free tickets)
http://www.capecodbaseball.org/
Nashua Pride
Nashua, NH
Independent League
http://www.nashuapride.com/
Bridgeport Bluefish
Bridgeport, CT
Independent League
http://www.bridgeportbluefish.com/
Brockton Rox
Brockton, MA
Northeast League (Independent)
http://www.brocktonrox.com/
Lowell Spinners
Lowell, MA
Minor A (Short Season) Red Sox Affiliate
http://www.lowellspinners.com/
Portland Sea Dogs
Portland, ME
Minor AA Red Sox Affiliate
http://www.portlandseadogs.com/
Pawtucket Red Sox
Pawtucket, RI
Minor AAA Red Sox Affiliate
http://www.pawsox.com/
2) Options for Red Sox tickets include http://www.smartfan.net/ (expensive,
limited selection), http://www.ticketsnow.com/, and the Red Sox own Family
Bargain Games program
(http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/bos/ticketing/discount.jsp), which
offers 25% of selected tickets (typically weekdays). I ended choosing this
last option and got two tickets for $28/each. I'm sure my son will love it.
Btw, I can also recommend the Spinners. That's a fun night of affordable
baseball (we buy those tickets the day they go on sale) for the entire
family. But there is no substitute for an occasional night at Fenway.
Regards,
Erik
