On 2025-02-18 (one month ago today), I strapped an iPhone to my head and took this video of walking our dog, Piper, on Forest Road:
* 2025-02-18 Walking Dog On Forest Road Acton MA 01720 (33 Cars In 12 Minutes)

The middle 12 minutes (or so) of this video, where we are walking in the Acton Arboretum, have been cut. But as I say near the end of this video, all I am trying to do is walk from my house to the Arboretum and back without getting killed. Not a high bar. Ironically, only two weeks after shooting this video, I broke my left wrist while walking Piper the Acton Arboretum. Had there been sidewalks on Forest Road, I would have been able to walk safely without having to venture into the icy Acton Arboretum.
[SARCASM ON] But the Acton Select board must believe that Forest Road is one of the safest roads in Acton for walkers! No sidewalks needed, not now, not ever! Such a safe road. [SARCASM OFF]
I hope that this video demonstrates otherwise. Forest Road is a SAFETY HAZARD for pedestrians every day, week, month, and season. And it has been ever since the DWP moved here in 1969.
